Lunch & Learn: Talking to Your Children About Race with Dr. Tiffany Loggins

  • China Basin 185 Berry Street San Francisco, CA, 94107 United States (map)

JOIN US FOR A FREE LUNCH & LEARN SESSION IN SUITE 140!

Session Description: Children start recognizing people by race as early as three months, though babies don't process race the same way teens or adults do. Even so, this shows that taking a colorblind stance on race sets up children to develop biases and unanswered questions about the world around them. In this health talk session, attendees will learn how to speak openly and truthfully about race with children and family. You will craft actionable steps to help children develop racial fluency, address implicit and explicit racial biases, and shape their understanding of systemic racism in an age-appropriate way.
